So which is the better state, Nevada or Wyoming? If Wyoming is better, why isn't it more popular?

It may be that historically Nevada is known to have a business friendly environment, or maybe Wyoming is not as popularly known to many entrepreneurs. There may be other advantages individual to a particular business that may make Nevada more attractive. Wyoming offers the lifetime proxy option as well as some of the same advantages that Nevada is known for. Taking a look at Wyoming corporations may be a better choice.
A lifetime proxy in regard to the formation of a corporation is an assignment available in the state of Wyoming and rare. Most other states do not offer this option to persons when incorporating in their state. A lifetime proxy is an individual that appears as the head of the corporation as opposed to the person that is incorporating. This gives the incorporator anonymity and further shielding them from liability. The incorporator still controls the vote by the assigned proxy, but does not have their name attached to the business, only the proxy's name appears and connected to the company. The incorporator maintains control of the company's operations and decisions as it controls the proxy's voting.
