Mississippi's circuit court have jurisdiction over felony and civil cases. But they also deal with county, municipal and justice appeals among other lower court cases. Divorces and other domestic issues are heard in the Chancery courts.

Other than court records, you can try to request the divorce record from the vital records, or recorders office. If the record falls within their coverage and none is found, that can be a signal that the record may not exist. The advantage is that the vital records office searches the entire state as opposed to county courts.
