Most Wanted Search
If the most wanted list you’re looking to view is federal, I would search the marshals’ wanted fugitives to start. Sheriff offices most wanted lists tend to be local and some departments may be using a state law enforcement agencies, therefore lists in your county may not exist.

There are many wanted lists from different agencies. From local sheriffs and police departments to federal most wanted fugitives. The FBI's public site contains a list of their agency's wanted fugitives and terrorists, you can also search by state as they have offices throughout the U.S. Also, on the federal level, the post office, the U.S. Marshals, ATF, Secret Service, DEA and DOJ all have most wanted lists online. Military branches such as the Air Force offers a list of their fugitives online. Agencies at the state level that generally have wanted lists on their sites is their corrections department, attorney general and the state public safety department, police or state wide law enforcement. The department of corrections will mostly have information of escapees or absconders. However, law enforcement agencies including the DOC for the state will combine their information and have one wanted list. The county sheriffs departments have wanted lists like many other agencies. Most wanted lists reveals names, aliases, description of height and weight, date of birth and other descriptions along with a photo of the individual and what they are wanted for. There are non government agency websites that will combine information from various agencies, but it is important to notice how often the private sites are updating. Police departments don't go out of business so the sites are kept up to date or shut down entirely. It is always a good rule of thumb to notice the dates regardless of whether the site is from an agency or private source.
