Henry, Virginia voters are served by the Franklin County Office of Voter Registration and Elections, located at 1255 Franklin Street, Suite 101, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. The Registrar's office handles all voter registration, absentee voting, polling place assignments, and election administration for Henry and all Franklin County precincts. Virginia residents can register to vote online at https://vote.elections.virginia.gov/Registration/Eligibility, by mail using a paper application, or in person at the Registrar's office. The deadline to register for any election is 22 days before Election Day. Voters must be U.S. citizens, Virginia residents, at least 18 years old by the next general election, and not currently declared mentally incapacitated by a court or convicted of a felony (unless rights have been restored). Valid forms of identification include a Virginia DMV-issued ID, U.S. passport, employer-issued photo ID, student ID from a Virginia college, voter photo ID card, or other government-issued ID. As an unincorporated community, Henry has no municipal government and therefore no mayoral or town council elections. Henry residents vote in Franklin County Board of Supervisors elections, with the county divided into seven magisterial districts; Henry is located in the Gills Creek District. County supervisor elections are held in November of odd-numbered years, with the next elections scheduled for November 2025.
