Polling places are typically located at schools, community centers, or fire stations. Polls are open from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time on election day. Kentucky public election records include voter registration lists (available for political purposes with appropriate application), campaign finance reports filed with the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance at kref.ky.gov, candidate filings and statements available through the Henderson County Clerk, and certified election results by precinct. Precinct-level results for Henderson County elections are posted by the Henderson County Clerk after certification. In the November 2024 presidential election, Henderson County reported approximately 62% voter turnout, with roughly 19,000 ballots cast from approximately 30,500 registered voters. The county has historically leaned Republican in federal elections while maintaining competitive local races. The November 3, 2026 general election will include several significant races for Baskett and Henderson County voters. The U.S. Senate seat currently held by Senator Mitch McConnell (Class II) is not up in 2026, but Class III seat held by Senator Rand Paul is also not up (2028 cycle).
