About Broward County, Florida
The Broward County Government is the ninth-largest county government in the United States. It is located in southeastern Florida and encompasses a total of 1,322 square miles, including all of the county's thirty-six incorporated cities and towns, as well as the unincorporated areas of the county. It is the second most populous county in Florida. The county seat is Fort Lauderdale.
The county government is led by an elected Board of County Commissioners, with each commissioner representing a district. The board is responsible for setting policies and annual budget.
