Caroline County, Virginia Public Records

Caroline County was established in 1727 and is one of the oldest counties in Virginia. The county seat is the town of Bowling Green. It is located in the east central region of the state, approximately 33 miles south of Fredericksburg, and 64 miles north of Richmond. As of 2019, the population of Caroline County was estimated to be 28,948.

Caroline County is governed by a seven-member Board of Supervisors, who are elected by the residents of each district. The County also has five Constitutional Officers, including the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Commissioner of the Revenue, Sheriff, Treasurer, and Commonwealth's Attorney.
