Carroll County, Virginia Public Records

Carroll County is located in the southwestern part of the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is part of the Blue Ridge Mountains region and is bordered by Grayson County to the north, Wythe County to the east, Patrick County to the south, and Floyd County to the west. The county seat is Hillsville.

The county has a total area of 477 square miles, of which 476 square miles is land and 1.2 square miles is water.

The county is governed by a five-member Board of Supervisors, elected from five magisterial districts. The county is also served by a constitutional officer, the Sheriff, and a Commonwealth's Attorney.

The county is served by the Carroll County Public Schools system, which includes five elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. The county is also home to several private schools.

The economy of Carroll County is largely based on agriculture, with the county's main crops being corn, soybeans, and hay. The county is also home to several manufacturing and industrial businesses.

The county is served by the Carroll County Regional Airport, located in Hillsville. The airport offers both commercial and private flights.
