Ferry County, Washington Public Records

Ferry County is located in the northeastern corner of Washington State. It is bordered by Canada to the north, Stevens County to the east, Okanogan County to the south, and Pend Oreille County to the west. The county seat is Republic, and the largest city is Republic. The county was created in 1899.

The county government is composed of three commissioners, each elected to a four-year term. The county is divided into three commissioner districts, each represented by one commissioner. The county also has a sheriff, prosecutor, auditor, treasurer, assessor, and clerk.

The county is served by the Ferry County Public Utility District, which provides electricity, water, and sewer services. The county is also served by the Ferry County Public Transportation Authority, which provides public transportation services.

The county is home to the Colville Indian Reservation, which is located in the northern part of the county. The reservation is home to the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, which includes the Colville, Lakes, Methow, Nespelem, Palus, Sanpoil, and Wenatchi tribes.

Ferry County Superior Court is amongst 39 Superior Courts with general jurisdiction across the state of Washington. This court handles criminal felony and misdemeanor cases, civil disputes, divorce filings, juvenile, adoption, probate, guardianships and more. The county clerk issues bench warrants, executions on judgments, abstracts, attachments, garnishments and subpoenas.
