About Lamb County, Texas
Lamb County is located in the northwestern part of the state of Texas. The county seat is Littlefield. The county was created in 1876.
The county government is organized into three branches: executive, legislative, and judicial. The executive branch is headed by the County Judge, who is elected county-wide. The legislative branch consists of a Commissioners Court, which is composed of four commissioners elected from single-member districts. The judicial branch is made up of the Lamb County District Court, which handles civil and criminal cases.
