About Middlesex County, Virginia
Middlesex County is a county located in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Its county seat is Saluda. The county was created in 1673 from the eastern portion of Lancaster County.
Middlesex County is governed by a five-member Board of Supervisors.
Middlesex County is part of the Northern Neck George Washington Birthplace American Viticultural Area (AVA). The county is also home to several state parks, including Belle Isle State Park, St. Stephens Church State Park, and Caledon State Park.
The county is served by the Middlesex County Public Schools system. The county is also served by Rappahannock Community College, which has a campus in Saluda.
