The county is served by the Neosho R-5 School District, which includes Neosho High School, Neosho Middle School, and several elementary schools. The county also has several private schools, including Neosho Christian School and Neosho Montessori School.
The county is home to Crowder College, a two-year community college. The college offers associate degrees and certificates in a variety of fields, including business, health sciences, and technology.
The county is also home to several parks, including Big Spring Park, which features a large spring-fed lake, and Shoal Creek Conservation Area, which offers camping, fishing, and hiking.
