Oregon County, Missouri Public Records

Oregon County is located in the Ozark Mountains of southern Missouri. It is bordered by Carter, Howell, Shannon, and Ripley Counties. The county seat is Alton, and the largest city is Thayer.

The government of Oregon County, Missouri is composed of a three-member County Commission, elected from three districts. The County Commission is responsible for setting the county budget, levying taxes, and making laws and regulations. The County Commission also appoints a County Clerk, who is responsible for keeping records and issuing licenses.
