Ouray County, Colorado Public Records

Ouray County is located in the southwestern corner of Colorado and is part of the state's Western Slope region. The county seat and largest town is Ouray.

Ouray County is home to the Uncompahgre National Forest, the Ridgway State Park, and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. The county is also home to the Ouray Ice Park, a popular destination for ice climbing.

The county is governed by a three-member Board of County Commissioners, which is elected in staggered four-year terms. The county also has a county administrator, a county attorney, and a county clerk and recorder.

The county is served by two school districts, the Ridgway School District and the Ouray School District. In addition to public education, the county is home to the Ouray County Library District, which provides access to library services throughout the county.

Ouray County also has a strong agricultural presence, with local farmers producing hay, livestock, and vegetables. The county is also home to several wineries and vineyards, and is known for its award-winning wines.
