About Patrick County, Virginia
The government of Patrick County, Virginia is composed of a Board of Supervisors, a County Administrator, and various other county departments. The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of the county and is composed of five members elected from single-member districts. The County Administrator is appointed by the Board of Supervisors and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the county.
Patrick County is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwestern Virginia. It is bordered by Henry County to the north, Franklin County to the east, and Carroll County to the south. The county seat is Stuart. The county is home to the Blue Ridge Institute & Museum, a museum dedicated to preserving the history and culture of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
