Pinellas County is located in the state of Florida and is part of the Tampa Bay Area. It is the most densely populated county in Florida and the sixth most populous county in the United States. The county seat is Clearwater, and the largest city is St. Petersburg.
The county government is composed of a Board of County Commissioners, which is the legislative body, and an executive branch headed by the County Administrator. The county is divided into five districts, each of which is represented by a commissioner.
