Pitkin County, Colorado Public Records

Pitkin County is located in the central Rocky Mountains of Colorado. It is the seventh-least populous county in the state. The county seat is Aspen.

The county is governed by a three-member Board of County Commissioners, which is elected in partisan elections. The county also has a county manager, who is appointed by the commissioners.

The county is divided into five districts: Aspen, Snowmass Village, Basalt, Carbondale, and Redstone.

The county is known for its ski resorts, including Aspen, Snowmass, and Buttermilk. It is also home to two of the most popular hiking trails in the country, the Maroon Bells and the Conundrum Hot Springs.

Pitkin County is also home to the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport, a general aviation airport located just outside of Aspen. The airport is served by several regional airlines, offering flights to Denver and other major cities throughout the United States.
