Sainte Genevieve County, Missouri Public Records

Sainte Genevieve County is located in the southeastern corner of Missouri and is part of the St. Louis Metropolitan Statistical Area. The county seat is Ste. Genevieve. The county was organized on October 1, 1812.

The county government is composed of three elected commissioners who serve four-year terms. Other elected officials include the sheriff, prosecuting attorney, assessor, collector, and public administrator.

The county is home to several state parks, including the Hawn State Park, Pickle Springs Natural Area, and the Fort de Chartres State Historic Site. The county also has several wineries and vineyards, as well as the Sainte Genevieve County Museum.

Sainte Genevieve County Circuit Court is located in Sainte Genevieve County, Missouri. It is a trial court of general jurisdiction with jurisdiction over civil and criminal cases. The court has jurisdiction over all felony criminal cases, all civil cases involving more than $25,000, all family law cases, and all probate matters. The court also has jurisdiction over appeals from the Associate Circuit Court.
