Shenandoah County, Virginia Public Records

Shenandoah County is a county located in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The county seat is Woodstock. The County is part of the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia. It is the only county in Virginia to border both West Virginia and Maryland.

The county government is composed of a Board of Supervisors, elected from seven magisterial districts, and a Constitutional Officer Corps. The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of the county and is responsible for setting policy, levying taxes, and appropriating funds. The Constitutional Officer Corps is composed of the Sheriff, Commonwealth's Attorney, Clerk of the Circuit Court, Commissioner of the Revenue, and Treasurer.

The county is also served by a number of other elected officials, including a representative in the Virginia House of Delegates, a representative in the Virginia Senate, and a member of the United States House of Representatives.
