Skagit County is located in the northwest corner of Washington State, and is part of the Puget Sound region. The county seat is Mount Vernon, and the largest city is Burlington. Skagit County is governed by a three-member Board of County Commissioners, which is elected in non-partisan elections to serve four-year terms.
