Weld County, Colorado Public Records

Weld County is located in the northeastern corner of Colorado and is the 8th most populous county in the state. It is bordered by Wyoming to the north, Nebraska to the northeast, and the South Platte River to the east. The county seat is Greeley.

The county has a total area of 4,017 square miles, making it the fourth largest county in Colorado.

The county government is composed of a three-member Board of County Commissioners, elected at-large to staggered four-year terms. Other elected officials include the Sheriff, Coroner, Assessor, Clerk and Recorder, Treasurer, and Surveyor.

Weld County is home to several state parks, including St. Vrain State Park, Lory State Park, and Boyd Lake State Park. The county is also home to the University of Northern Colorado, Aims Community College, and the Colorado State University System.
