Residents can register to vote online at https://voter.votewa.gov, Washington's statewide voter registration portal, or by submitting a paper registration form available at the Auditor's Office, libraries, and other public locations. Voter registration deadlines fall eight days before Election Day for online registration and by mail (postmarked), though in-person registration remains available through Election Day at the Auditor's Office. Washington requires proof of U.S. Citizenship at registration, and voters must provide a Washington State driver's license or ID number, or the last four digits of their Social Security number. Since the community is unincorporated and has no city government, there are no municipal elections for mayor or city council. Residents participate in Chelan County, state, and federal elections instead. County elections include races for County Commissioners (three districts, staggered terms), Sheriff, Auditor, Assessor, Treasurer, Prosecuting Attorney, and other county offices, typically held in even-numbered years. While Washington eliminated traditional polling places with its universal mail voting system, voters can use ballot drop boxes located throughout Chelan County, including in Wenatchee and other communities. Residents can locate their nearest drop box through the Auditor's website or by calling the Elections Office. Ballots must be postmarked by Election Day or deposited in an official drop box by 8:00 PM on Election Day. Washington law makes several election records publicly accessible: voter registration lists (excluding certain confidential information) can be purchased for political or governmental purposes; campaign finance reports for state and local candidates are available through the Public Disclosure Commission at https://www.pdc.wa.gov; candidate filings and ballot measures are posted by the Auditor's Office; and precinct-level election results are published after each election. In the November 2024 presidential election, Chelan County reported approximately 64% voter turnout, with about 33,000 ballots cast out of roughly 51,000 registered voters. Looking ahead to the November 3, 2026 general election, Ardenvoir and Chelan County voters will decide several important races. At the federal level, Washington's U.S. Senate seat held by Maria Cantwell will be on the ballot in 2024 (not 2026), but the state's nine U.S. House seats are up every two years, and the area falls within Washington's 4th Congressional District, currently represented by Dan Newhouse, which will be on the 2026 ballot. At the state level, all 98 seats in the Washington State House of Representatives are up for election every two years; the community is in the 12th Legislative District, with one state senator (serving a four-year term, potentially on the ballot depending on cycle) and two state representatives up for election in 2026. County-level races in 2026 may include certain Chelan County Commissioner positions, depending on the district rotation, as well as other county offices on their regular election cycles. To request an absentee or replacement ballot in Washington's vote-by-mail system, voters can contact the Chelan County Elections Office directly; ballots are automatically mailed starting 18 days before Election Day to all registered voters at their registration address, and voters who do not receive their ballot can request a replacement online through VoteWA.gov or by contacting the Auditor's Office.
