Arizona law requires proof of citizenship for voter registration, typically satisfied by providing an Arizona driver's license number or other documentation. Registration forms are also available at DMV offices, public libraries, and county offices. Because this is an unincorporated community with no municipal government, there are no city council, mayoral, or other municipal elections here. Residents vote in Pinal County elections for county supervisors, sheriff, county attorney, recorder, assessor, treasurer, and school governing boards; in state legislative elections for Arizona House and Senate districts; in statewide elections for Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, and other constitutional officers; and in federal elections for U.S. President, U.S. Senate, and U.S. House of Representatives. The community is part of Arizona's Legislative District 16 as of the 2022 redistricting. School district elections for the Toltec Elementary School District and Casa Grande Union High School District also appear on ballots for many local residents. Voters can find their assigned polling place, early voting locations, and ballot information through the Pinal County Elections website or by calling (520) 509-3555. Arizona is a universal early voting state; any registered voter can request to be placed on the Permanent Early Voting List (PEVL) and automatically receive a ballot by mail for every election. Early ballots can be returned by mail (must be received by 7:00 PM on Election Day), dropped off at any polling place on Election Day, or deposited at secure early ballot drop boxes located throughout Pinal County. In-person early voting is available at the Pinal County Recorder's Office in Florence and at temporary early voting sites established before each election. Public election records in Arizona include voter registration lists (available for purchase by political committees and candidates, with restricted personal information), campaign finance reports filed with the Secretary of State and Pinal County, candidate nomination petitions and statements, precinct-level election results, and ballot measure materials. These records are accessible through the Pinal County Elections Office and the Arizona Secretary of State's website at https://azsos.gov. In the November 2024 general election, Pinal County reported approximately 64% voter turnout with roughly 140,000 ballots cast out of approximately 220,000 registered voters, reflecting strong engagement in the presidential election. Looking ahead to the November 3, 2026 general election, Arizona City and Pinal County voters will decide several significant races. Arizona's Class III U.S. Senate seat will not be on the ballot in 2026 (next up in 2028), but the Class I seat currently held by Senator Mark Kelly will be up for election. All of Arizona's nine U.S. House seats will be contested, including the district representing the area. At the state level, all 30 Arizona State Senate seats and all 60 Arizona House seats will be on the ballot for two-year and two-year terms respectively, including Legislative District 16 seats serving local residents. Statewide constitutional offices on the ballot in 2026 include Secretary of State, Attorney General, Treasurer, Superintendent of Public Instruction, Mine Inspector, and Corporation Commission. At the Pinal County level, Pinal County voters will elect County Supervisors for certain districts (depending on rotation), County Sheriff, County Attorney, County Recorder, County Assessor, and other county offices. School board elections for Toltec Elementary and Casa Grande Union High School districts will also appear on ballots. Candidate filing begins in early 2026, with primaries scheduled for August 4, 2026 and the general election on November 3, 2026.
