Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania Public Records

Pennsylvania offers online voter registration through the Pennsylvania Department of State at www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/pages/VoterRegistrationApplication.aspx. Residents can register online if they have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license or PennDOT ID card; the deadline is 15 days before any election. Hamiltonban Township holds municipal elections in odd-numbered years (2025, 2027, etc.) following Pennsylvania's municipal election calendar, with elections in May for primary contests and November for general elections. Voters also participate in Franklin County elections for county commissioners, sheriff, district attorney, and other county row offices. Residents can find their assigned polling place through the Pennsylvania Voter Services website at www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/pages/pollingplaceinfo.aspx by entering their address. Polling places are typically located at local fire halls, community centers, churches, or schools within each precinct. Pennsylvania election records that are public include voter registration lists (available by request to the Franklin County elections office with restrictions on commercial use), campaign finance reports filed with the Pennsylvania Department of State (searchable at www.dos.pa.gov/campaignfinance), candidate filings and nominating petitions, and official election results by precinct. Franklin County posts unofficial election results on election night and certified results afterward on the Franklin County website. In the November 2024 presidential election, Franklin County recorded approximately 65% voter turnout, with roughly 52,000 ballots cast from approximately 80,000 registered voters. The county trends Republican in most statewide elections, though results vary by precinct and contest. On November 3, 2026, voters throughout the area will decide several significant races. Pennsylvania does not have U.S. Senate seats up for election in 2026 (the next Pennsylvania Senate race is 2028). However, the 2026 ballot will include the Pennsylvania Governor's race (Governor Josh Shapiro's term expires January 2027, so if he seeks re-election or the seat is open, this will be on the ballot), all Pennsylvania state House of Representatives seats (Blue Ridge Summit is in a district based in southern Franklin County), Pennsylvania state Senate seats depending on district rotation, Franklin County offices including county commissioners and other row offices, Hamiltonban Township supervisors and municipal positions, and state judicial races. Voters should check with the Franklin County Elections Office closer to the election for a complete sample ballot. Pennsylvania voters can request mail-in ballots (no excuse required since Act 77 of 2019) or absentee ballots (for voters who will be absent on election day or meet other criteria) by submitting an application to the Franklin County elections office.
