Police Departments. Law enforcement in Breathitt County is primarily managed by Breathitt County Sheriff's Office and the Jackson Police Department.

Breathitt County Sheriff's Office is the primary law enforcement agency for unincorporated areas of Breathitt County and provides court security, warrant service, and operates Breathitt County detention facility.
