In the November 2024 presidential election, San Diego County recorded a voter turnout of approximately 74% of registered voters, with over 1.4 million ballots cast out of approximately 1.9 million registered voters. The county saw participation in both mail-in voting and in-person voting at Vote Centers, reflecting California's shift to universal vote-by-mail systems. On November 3, 2026, voters in the area will participate in the statewide general election, which will include races for Governor of California.
