Ohio residents can register to vote online through the Ohio Secretary of State's website at olvr.ohiosos.gov using an Ohio driver's license or state ID number. The registration deadline is 30 days before any election. Voters must be U.S. Citizens, Ohio residents for at least 30 days, at least 18 years old by election day, and not incarcerated for a felony conviction. Same-day voter registration is not available in Ohio. As an unincorporated village, the community does not hold separate municipal elections for mayor or village council. Instead, governance is provided by Crosby Township Trustees, who are elected in odd-numbered years on a nonpartisan basis, with the next elections in November 2025 and 2027. Local voters cast ballots for township trustees, fiscal officer, and county officials, along with state and federal races. Polling place assignments can be found through the Ohio Secretary of State's polling location tool at www.sos.state.oh.us/elections/voters/toolkit/polling-location or by contacting the Board of Elections directly. Voters in the area typically cast ballots at the Hooven Community Building or nearby locations in Crosby Township. Ohio election records that are publicly accessible include voter registration lists, available for purchase for legitimate purposes under Ohio Revised Code 3503.26, campaign finance reports for candidates and PACs searchable at www.ohiosos.gov/campaign-finance, candidate filings and petition signatures, precinct-level election results, and poll worker lists. Individual voter history showing which elections a person voted in, but not how they voted, is public record. In the November 2024 presidential election, Hamilton County reported voter turnout of approximately 67-70 percent of registered voters, with over 450,000 ballots cast out of approximately 650,000 registered voters. No U.S. Senate seat from Ohio is up for election in 2026. Absentee voting in Ohio is available to any registered voter without requiring an excuse. Absentee ballot applications can be submitted online through the Board of Elections website, by mail, or in person beginning 90 days before an election until noon on the Saturday before Election Day. Completed absentee ballots must be postmarked by the day before Election Day and received by the Board of Elections within 10 days after the election, or can be deposited in the secure drop box at the Board of Elections office until 7:30 PM on Election Day. Early in-person voting is available at the Board of Elections office beginning four weeks before Election Day, including some evening and weekend hours. Ohio requires voter ID at the polls. Acceptable forms include Ohio driver's license, state ID, military ID, passport, or certain utility bills or bank statements with name and address. Provisional ballots are available if ID cannot be provided.
