Sheriff & Law Enforcement. Karnes County Sheriff's Office is responsible for law enforcement in the unincorporated areas of Karnes County.
Police Departments. Karnes County is served by both Karnes County Sheriff's Office and several municipal police departments. Each department is responsible for maintaining law and order within its respective city limits, while the Sheriff's Office handles the broader county jurisdiction.
Law Enforcement & Arrests. Karnes County Sheriff's Office is the primary law enforcement agency for unincorporated areas of Karnes County, located at 101 N Panna Maria Avenue in Karnes City. Karnes County Jail, operated by the Sheriff's Office, houses inmates awaiting trial or serving sentences. Inmate information and booking records can be obtained by contacting the jail directly or visiting the Sheriff's Office in person during business hours.
