Local voters can find their assigned polling place by using the polling place lookup tool at www.ncsbe.gov/voting-polling-place-lookup. Voters enter their residential address to view their specific precinct assignment and polling location. Residents vote at locations within or near town depending on precinct boundaries; historical polling places have included Liberty Elementary School and the Liberty Fire Department. Polling places are open from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM on Election Day. North Carolina offers an extensive early voting period (typically 17 days including weekends) prior to each election, and residents may vote at any early voting site in Randolph County, not just their assigned precinct. North Carolina does not have a U.S.Current federal, state, and local election schedules, ballot contests, candidate filings, and certified results for Liberty voters are published by the North Carolina State Board of Elections (https://www.ncsbe.gov/). However, voters will decide North Carolina's gubernatorial race, as the Governor serves a four-year term with elections in presidential midterm years. Voters will also elect Randolph County commissioners, sheriff, register of deeds, clerk of superior court, and other constitutional officers. Liberty municipal offices (mayor and town council) will not be on Candidate filing for the 2026 elections will occur in December 2025.
