The office administers all federal, state, county, and municipal elections for Brunswick County residents including Ocean Isle Beach voters. Voters must register at least 25 days before an election and must provide a North Carolina driver's license number or the last four digits of their Social Security number. Ocean Isle Beach conducts municipal elections for mayor and five town commissioners (Board of Commissioners) on odd-numbered years in November, with the next municipal election scheduled for November 2025. Commissioners serve four-year staggered terms.
