Law Enforcement & Arrests. Law enforcement in Pendleton County is primarily provided by Pendleton County Sheriff's Office, located at 100 South Main Street in Franklin, West Virginia 26807. Inmate information can be obtained by calling the Sheriff's Office directly during business hours, as Pendleton County does not maintain an online inmate roster due to its small size. Municipal law enforcement is limited in Pendleton County; the Town of Franklin does not maintain a separate police department, relying instead on the Sheriff's Office for primary law enforcement services. The mine records hold 26 named mine sites inside the county, 25 of them worked out or abandoned; the old survey maps add 7 holes drawn inside the county, 1 of them shafts or tunnels. The minerals the records name are Iron; Calcium.

Booking photos are kept by the agency that made the arrest, such as the Pendleton County Sheriff's Office or a city police department in Pendleton County. Ask that agency for its record. Under W. Va. Code 62-1-6a a state, county or city law enforcement agency may not share on social media the booking photograph of a person arrested for a minor offense unless the person is convicted, is a fugitive or threat, or a court orders it, and it must take a posted booking photograph down within 14 days on request after a dismissal, no indictment or an acquittal.
