Registration deadlines are 25 days before an election for in-person registration and 10 days before for online registration under recent New York election law. First-time voters must provide proof of identity and residency. The Village of Sherburne holds elections for Mayor (four-year term) and Village Trustees (four-year staggered terms) in March of odd-numbered years Candidates file petitions with the Village Clerk by late January. Village and town voters typically cast ballots at the Sherburne Fire Station or American Legion Hall depending on district.
