Young America, Indiana Public Records

The registration deadline is 29 days before any election, and applicants must provide an Indiana driver's license or state ID number, or the last four digits of their Social Security number. As an unincorporated community without municipal government, Young America does not hold local town elections. Residents participate in county, state, and federal contests only. Polling locations can be found through the Indiana Voters portal by entering your address; Jackson Township voters typically cast ballots at designated precinct sites in or near the community or at the township fire station. Public election records include voter registration lists available by request to political parties and candidates, campaign finance reports accessible through the Indiana Election Division website at in.gov/sos/elections, candidate filings and declarations, and precinct-level results published after each election. County offices on the ballot will include County Council members, county commissioners if their seats are up that cycle, and potentially Jackson Township trustees and board members. Voters will also decide any statewide ballot measures and local school board or special district positions if applicable. Any registered voter in Indiana can request an absentee ballot by mail; applications are accepted online through the Indiana Voters portal, by mail, or in person at the Cass County Clerk's office. The deadline is 12 days before Election Day for mail ballots, though voters can request a ballot in person at the Clerk's office until noon the day before the election. Early in-person voting begins 28 days before Election Day at the Cass County Clerk's office, with hours posted on the Cass County website. All voters must show valid photo identification when voting in person, including during early voting. Acceptable forms include Indiana driver's licenses, state-issued ID cards, U.S. Passports, military IDs, or Indiana public university student IDs that meet specific criteria.
