Voter registration can be completed online at oregonvotes.gov/myvote, by mail, or in person at the County Elections Office. The state offers automatic registration through the DMV and accepts registrations up to 21 days before an election. To register online, residents need an Oregon driver license or ID number, or the last four digits of their Social Security number. Since Arch Cape is unincorporated without city government, there are no municipal elections for mayor or city council. Instead, residents vote in Clatsop County elections for County Commissioners, Sheriff, Assessor, Clerk, and other county offices; state elections for Oregon Governor, Secretary of State, and State Legislature (the community falls within House District 32 and Senate District 16); federal elections for U.S. President, U.S. Senate, and U.S. House of Representatives (Oregon's 1st Congressional District); and special district elections including Arch Cape Water District and Arch Cape Domestic Water Supply District. Polling place lookup doesn't apply here since Oregon eliminated in-person voting, but voters can check registration status, ballot status, and drop box locations at oregonvotes.gov/myvote. Public election records in Oregon include voter registration lists available for purchase for political purposes, campaign finance reports searchable at oregonvotes.gov, candidate filings, and detailed precinct-level results published after each election. Vote-by-mail ballots are automatically sent to all registered voters approximately 18-20 days before each election; voters who don't receive a ballot can request one from the Clatsop County Elections Office or print a replacement ballot from oregonvotes.gov if within seven days of the election.
