The next Town of Ballston elections are scheduled for November 4, 2025. Most voters in the area cast ballots at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School or the Charlton Heights Fire Department, depending on their election district. Public election records in New York include voter registration lists, available to candidates and political committees under specific restrictions, campaign finance disclosures through the New York State Board of Elections at publicreporting.elections.ny.gov, candidate petition filings, and certified election results by precinct. In the November 2024 presidential election, Saratoga County reported approximately 62% voter turnout with roughly 135,000 ballots cast from approximately 217,000 registered voters. On November 3, 2026, voters throughout the hamlet and county will decide several significant races. To request an absentee ballot in New York, voters must submit an application to the Saratoga County Board of Elections either online through the state portal, by mail, or in person. Applications must be received at least seven days before Election Day, or the day before if applying in person. New York allows absentee voting for reasons including absence from county on Election Day, illness or disability, hospitalization, residing in a healthcare facility, incarceration for non-felony conviction, or duties related to primary care of individuals who are ill or physically disabled. Early voting in New York is available for nine days prior to Election Day at designated early voting sites, including weekends.
