To qualify, applicants must be U.S. Citizens and Texas residents, at least 17 years and 10 months old (turning 18 by election day), not finally convicted of a felony or have completed their sentence, and not declared mentally incapacitated by a court. Texas law requires photo identification when voting in person, with acceptable forms including a Texas driver's license, Texas Election Identification Certificate, Texas personal ID card, U.S. Passport, military ID, or citizenship certificate with photo.
