Sheriff & Law Enforcement. Lyon County Sheriff's Office is responsible for law enforcement in the unincorporated areas of Lyon County.
Police Departments. In addition to Lyon County Sheriff's Office, the Eddyville Police Department serves the city of Eddyville, providing law enforcement services within city limits. These municipal police departments coordinate with the Sheriff's Office on major crimes and investigations that span multiple jurisdictions.
Law Enforcement & Arrests. Lyon County Sheriff's Office is the primary law enforcement agency for Lyon County, headquartered at 100 West Dale Avenue in Eddyville, Kentucky 42038. Inmate information and jail roster can be obtained by calling the detention center directly or visiting the Sheriff's Office during business hours; Lyon County does not currently maintain a full online inmate search portal, requiring phone or in-person inquiries for current custody status. Within Lyon County, the City of Eddyville and City of Kuttawa maintain their own municipal police departments that handle law enforcement within city limits, while the Sheriff's Office has countywide jurisdiction.
