Applicants must be U.S. Citizens, Arkansas residents, at least 18 years old by the next election, and not currently incarcerated for a felony conviction, though voting rights are restored upon completion of sentence. Online registration requires a valid Arkansas driver's license number or the last four digits of a Social Security number. Because the community is unincorporated, there are no municipal elections for mayor or city council specific to the area. Instead, voters participate in Phillips County, state, and federal elections. The county holds elections for county judge, sheriff, county clerk, circuit clerk, assessor, treasurer, coroner, and justices of the peace on regular cycles. Arkansas conducts party primary elections in May and general elections in November of even-numbered years. Half of the state Senate seats will be contested depending on the district cycle, and various county offices including potentially county judge, sheriff, and other constitutional officers will be up for election depending on term expirations.
