Arkansas residents can register to vote online through the Arkansas Secretary of State's website at https://www.sos.arkansas.gov/elections/voter-registration. The registration deadline falls 30 days before any election. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens, Arkansas residents, at least 18 years old by the next election, and not currently adjudicated mentally incompetent or a convicted felon unless rights have been restored. Acceptable identification includes an Arkansas driver's license or ID card number, or the last four digits of a Social Security number. The city conducts municipal elections for mayor and city council positions under a mayor-council form of government. Candidates for city office file with the Lincoln County Election Commission. Voters can find their assigned polling place using the Arkansas Voter View system at https://www.voterview.ar-nova.org/voterview by entering their name and date of birth or address. The county typically operates several polling locations on election day, with residents voting at locations within the city based on their precinct assignment. Early voting is available at the Lincoln County Courthouse for up to 15 days before any election, including the two Saturdays before Election Day, during hours set by the Election Commission. Under Arkansas law, various election records are public. Voter registration lists are available for purchase by qualified requesters for legitimate purposes as defined by statute.
