Armstrong County is a county located in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The county seat is Kittanning. The county was organized on March 12, 1800, from parts of Allegheny, Westmoreland, and Lycoming Counties.

The county government is run by three elected commissioners, who are elected every four years. The county is divided into nine townships, each of which is governed by a board of supervisors. The county also has a number of boroughs, including Kittanning, Ford City, Leechburg, and Apollo.
