County profile
Sheriff & Law Enforcement. Cass County Sheriff's Office is responsible for law enforcement across Cass County, particularly in unincorporated areas.
Police Departments. In addition to Cass County Sheriff's Office, several city police departments operate within Cass County, including the Walker Police Department and the Cass Lake Police Department.
Law Enforcement & Arrests. Cass County Sheriff's Office, headquartered at 303 Minnesota Avenue West in Walker, Minnesota 56484 (phone: 218-547-1424), provides primary law enforcement services across Cass County's vast territory. Inmate information and jail rosters can be accessed through Cass County website or by calling the jail directly at 218-547-1498. Municipal law enforcement exists in incorporated cities including the Walker Police Department and Pillager Police Department, which handle local ordinance violations and cooperate with the Sheriff's Office on major investigations. Arrest records in Cass County are public information under Minnesota Statutes Chapter 13, the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, which governs access to government data.
