About Clinton County, Missouri
Clinton County is located in the northeastern part of Missouri and is bordered by Caldwell, DeKalb, and Clay counties on the north, Buchanan County on the east, Caldwell, Ray and Jackson counties on the south, and Platte County on the west. The county seat is Plattsburg, and the county covers an area of 522 square miles. Clinton County was established in 1833.
Clinton County Missouri is governed by a committee of three elected commissioners, who serve as the legislative body of the county. The commissioners are elected to three-year terms, with one member up for election each year.
