Cuba, Missouri Public Records

The Cuba Police Department and the Crawford County Sheriff's Office are the primary law enforcement agencies serving the Cuba community. Cuba voters are served by the Crawford County Clerk's Office, which administers elections for all of Crawford County. The office is located at 302 Main Street, Steelville, MO 65565 (phone: 573-775-2383, website: crawfordcountymo.gov). Missouri residents can register to vote online through the Missouri Secretary of State's website at www.sos.mo.gov/elections/goVoteMissouri, or by submitting a paper voter registration application to the County Clerk. Voter registration must be completed by the fourth Wednesday prior to any election (28 days before election day). Valid identification is not required for registration but voters must provide their Missouri driver's license number or last four digits of their Social Security number. First-time voters who register by mail must provide identification when voting. Cuba holds municipal elections for Mayor and City Council positions, typically in April of odd-numbered years. The next Cuba municipal election is scheduled for April 2025, with positions including Mayor and multiple Council seats. Candidate filing information and local ballot issues can be obtained from Cuba City Hall at 573-885-2244. Cuba voters also participate in Crawford County elections for county officials including Presiding Commissioner, County Clerk, Sheriff, Assessor, Treasurer, and other county offices. In the November 2024 presidential election, Crawford County saw approximately 60-65% voter turnout, with strong support for Republican candidates typical of rural Missouri counties. Looking ahead to November 3, 2026, Cuba and Crawford County voters will decide several important races. Missouri does not have a U.S. Senate seat up in 2026, but voters will elect U.S. Representative for Missouri's 8th Congressional District (which includes Crawford County), all 163 seats in the Missouri House of Representatives, approximately half of the Missouri Senate seats (district depending), and various Crawford County offices including county commissioners and other constitutional offices whose terms expire.
