Texas residents can register online through the Texas Secretary of State at www.votetexas.gov, or submit a paper application available from the Henderson County elections office, public libraries, or by calling 1-800-252-VOTE. Applications must arrive at least 30 days before an election. To qualify, applicants must be U.S. Citizens, Texas residents, at least 17 years and 10 months old (18 to vote), and not finally convicted of a felony or, if convicted, have completed their sentence including parole and probation. Registration requires a valid Texas driver license or identification card number. The City of Eustace holds municipal elections for Mayor and City Council positions, typically in May of odd-numbered years to align with the uniform election date. The next city election is scheduled for May 2025, with candidate filing taking place in January and February 2025. The county operates multiple election day and early voting locations. Texas requires strict photo ID, meaning voters must present one of seven approved forms: Texas driver license, Texas election identification certificate, Texas personal identification card, Texas license to carry a handgun, U.S. Military ID with photo, U.S. Citizenship certificate with photo, or U.S. Passport. Public election records in Texas include voter registration lists (available by request with use restrictions), campaign finance reports filed by candidates and PACs (available through the Texas Ethics Commission at www.ethics.state.tx.us), candidate applications and filings, and precinct-level election results. The November 3, 2026 general election will be critically important for Eustace and Henderson County voters. Applications for mail ballots must be received by the early voting clerk no later than 11 days before election day. All other voters must vote in person either during early voting or on election day.
