Sheriff & Law Enforcement. Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is responsible for law enforcement services in the unincorporated areas of Hillsborough County.
Police Departments. Hillsborough County is served by several law enforcement agencies, including Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and municipal police departments such as the Tampa Police Department, Plant City Police Department, and Temple Terrace Police Department.
Law Enforcement & Arrests. Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO), headquartered at 2008 E 8th Avenue in Tampa, Florida 33605, is the primary law enforcement agency for unincorporated areas of Hillsborough County and operates Hillsborough County's detention facilities. The Falkenburg Road Jail, located at 2939 E Falkenburg Road in Tampa, and the Orient Road Jail at 4000 Orient Road serve as Hillsborough County's main detention facilities, housing pretrial detainees and sentenced inmates.

Booking photos are kept by the agency that made the arrest, such as the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office or a city police department in Hillsborough County. Ask that agency for its record. Under section 901.43, Florida Statutes, anyone who publishes arrest booking photographs may not solicit or accept a fee to remove them, and must remove a photograph without charge within 10 calendar days after a written request sent by registered mail.
The Florida criminal history record comes from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice Information Services. Online name based search of public Florida criminal history through the FDLE Instant Search (results are not certified), or a certified request; FDLE no longer takes mailed request forms. Fee: $24.00 per search, plus a $1.00 credit card processing fee.
Search the Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators (FDLE), or every state at once on the National Sex Offender Public Website run by the U.S. Department of Justice.
Register with the county Supervisor of Elections or through the Florida Division of Elections. You can also register online with the state online registration. The deadline to register to vote for an upcoming election is 29 days before the election.
Deeds and other recorded land documents in Hillsborough County are kept by the Hillsborough County Clerk of the Circuit Court, as county recorder. Property values are set by the county Property Appraiser, and tax bills come from the county Tax Collector. Source: official state page.

Local county health departments take mail in and walk in requests for Florida birth records from 1917 to the present; fees vary by county. Business entity filings are searched with the Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations (Sunbiz). Counties and cities may levy a local business tax and issue local business tax receipts under Chapter 205, Florida Statutes.
