Jackson County is located in the southeastern corner of South Dakota and is part of the Sioux Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 2,945. The county seat is Kadoka.
The county was created in 1909 and organized in 1910. It was named for President Andrew Jackson.
