Linn County is located in the U.S. state of Iowa. As of the 2010 census, the population was 211,226, making it the second-most populous county in Iowa. The county seat is Cedar Rapids. The county was created on February 17, 1837 and was named after Senator Lewis F. Linn of Missouri.
Linn County is part of the Cedar Rapids, IA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The county government is a constitutional body, and is granted specific powers by the Constitution of Iowa, and by the Iowa Code.
