Indiana law requires voters to register at least 29 days before an election. To register, residents must be U.S. Citizens, at least 18 years old on or before the next election, have lived in their precinct for at least 30 days before the election, and not currently be imprisoned after being convicted of a crime. Registration requires providing an Indiana driver's license number or state ID number, or the last four digits of a Social Security number. As an unincorporated community, Nabb does not hold municipal elections for mayor or town council since there is no local municipal government structure. Residents participate in federal, state, and Clark County elections. The community votes in assigned precincts, typically within Wood Township. Polling place assignments can be confirmed online at indianavoters. gov by entering name and date of birth, or by contacting the Clark County Clerk's Office. Indiana law requires voters to present photo identification at the polls, including an Indiana driver's license, Indiana state ID, U.S. Passport, military ID, or another government-issued photo ID. Public election records in Indiana include voter registration lists (available with restrictions), campaign finance reports filed by candidates and political committees, candidate declarations and filings, precinct-level election results, and absentee ballot statistics. While 2026 is a midterm election year, Indiana voters will elect all members of the U.S. House of Representatives, including the representative for Indiana's 9th Congressional District which includes Clark County. Indiana does not have a U.S.Current federal, state, and local election schedules, ballot contests, candidate filings, and certified results for Nabb voters are published by the Indiana Election Division (https://www.in.gov/sos/elections/). Residents of the area vote for their State Representative in House District 72 and their State Senator in Senate District 47. Local voters may also decide on school board positions for the West Clark Community Schools board and any local referendum questions or ballot measures. Indiana offers absentee voting by mail for voters who meet certain criteria including being 65 or older, having a disability, being scheduled to work the entire 12 hours polls are open, having jury duty, being confined due to illness or injury, being prevented from voting due to religious discipline or religious holiday, being a member of the military or public safety officer, being a serious sex offender required to be at home, or being an overseas voter. Absentee ballot applications can be submitted online through indianavoters. gov or by mail to the Clark County Clerk's Office. Applications must be received by the Clark County election office no later than 11:59 p.m. EDT 12 days before Election Day. Completed absentee ballots must be received by noon on Election Day or postmarked by Election Day and received within 10 days after the election if mailed from a U.S. Address. Indiana also offers early in-person voting at designated locations for 28 days before Election Day.
