Registration deadlines require voters to register at least 14 days prior to any election, or by 5:00 p.m. The Friday before early voting begins. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens, Wyoming residents, and at least 18 years old by election day. A valid Wyoming driver's license number or the last four digits of a Social Security number is required. Residents vote in county, state, and federal elections. Voters can find their assigned polling location by visiting the Wyoming Secretary of State's polling place lookup tool at sos.wyo.gov or by contacting the Albany County Clerk. The community typically votes at the Rock River Community Hall or School, though voters should verify their specific polling location before each election. For the November 3, 2026 general election, Rock River and Albany County voters will decide several important races: Wyoming's single U.S. House seat will be on the ballot (Wyoming's Senate seats are not up in 2026 as Senator Barrasso is up in 2024 and Senator Lummis in 2028), along with state legislative seats in the Wyoming House and half the Wyoming Senate seats. Albany County will elect county commissioners, county clerk, sheriff, assessor, treasurer, and other county officials depending on the election cycle. Wyoming election records that are public include voter registration lists (available for purchase for political purposes), campaign finance reports (searchable at wyomingcampaignfinance.gov), candidate filings and financial disclosures, and precinct-level election results (published by the Secretary of State at sos.wyo.gov/Elections). Wyoming offers absentee voting; any registered voter may request an absentee ballot without providing an excuse. Absentee ballot requests can be submitted online, by mail, or in person to the Albany County Clerk's office beginning 45 days before an election and must be received by the Friday before election day. Voted absentee ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m. On election day.
