Residents register through California's online system at https://registertovote.ca.gov, which requires a valid California driver's license or ID card number and the last four digits of the applicant's Social Security number. The registration deadline is 15 days before any election for online and mail registration, though California offers conditional voter registration through Election Day at the Shasta County elections office or any vote center. Voters must be U.S. Citizens, California residents, at least 18 years old by Election Day, and not currently serving a state or federal prison term for a felony conviction. As an unincorporated community, the area has no municipal government and therefore no city council, mayor, or local ballot measures.
